Steinel
Steinel is a German company founded in 1959 in Herzebrock-Clarholz by engineer Heinrich Wolfgang Steinel, and it pioneered sensor controlled lighting technology, launching the first infrared motion sensor for automated lighting in 1987 and the first sensor controlled outdoor light in 1992. The company is still headquartered in Herzebrock-Clarholz and is recognised as one of the leading names in motion and presence detection technology. At Moonlight Design you'll find Steinel's sensor switched indoor lights for hallways, stairwells and bathrooms, outdoor floodlights and wall lanterns with built in PIR sensors for security lighting, standalone infrared motion detectors and wall switches, dusk to dawn photo cell controllers, and solar powered path and garden lights. The range is built around practical, automated illumination rather than decorative statement pieces, with sensors that can be set for coverage angle, range and time delay to suit anything from a front porch to a large driveway.Filters
