A Black Sensor Floodlight You Control from Your Phone
The Steinel XLED Home 2 SC in black is a wall mounted outdoor LED floodlight with a built in motion sensor and Bluetooth. It gives 1550 lumens from 13.7W, and the sensor covers 180 degrees with a reach of 10 metres. The SC stands for smart control: you can adjust its settings from the Steinel SmartRemote app on your phone, as well as on the unit itself. A practical LED security light for a driveway, side passage or back garden.
Black Finish with an Opal Panel
This version has a black housing and bracket, with a flat opal cover over the LED panel that shows white when lit. The panel swivels fully so you can aim the light where you need it, and the sensor head below swivels separately, 180 degrees horizontally and 90 degrees vertically. The body is made from a magnesium composite that Steinel calls HCMC, which draws heat away from the LEDs. The same light is also made in white.
How It Works
A passive infrared sensor picks up movement and switches the light on. The time it stays on can be set from 5 seconds to 60 minutes, and the twilight level it responds to from 2 to 2000 lux, so it only comes on when it is dark enough. Bluetooth lets you change settings through the Steinel app. The sensor works best at a mounting height of 1.8 to 4 metres, with 2 metres ideal. The LED is an integrated Steinel system at 3000K warm white with a CRI of 80 to 89, and it is not designed to be replaced. It runs from a 220 to 240V mains supply and is a Class II fitting. Steinel suggests it for all round the building: a courtyard, a driveway, a terrace or balcony. It fits on a wall or corner with surface wiring. It is rated IP44, so it is protected against splashing water from any direction, and IK03 for impact.
