A Compact Cube Wall Light You Control by App

The Steinel L 830 C is a small cube shaped outdoor wall light with a frosted white diffuser and an anthracite backplate. This version has no motion sensor of its own. You control it from your phone over Bluetooth, and it can be linked with other Steinel Bluetooth lights. It gives 493 lumens at 3000K warm white from 9.1W, which suits a terrace, front door or house wall.

The wall plate and mounting side are a dark anthracite grey, set against a soft white opal cube that spreads the light evenly. Both parts are plastic. The whole light measures just 110mm square, a size that suits a modern facade without dominating it.

How It Works

The light connects to the Steinel Connect app over Bluetooth, where Steinel says you can control it and link several lights together into groups. Because this model has no sensor, it will not switch on by movement by itself. Steinel notes that if a sensor controlled Steinel light is included in the group, all the lights switch on together when movement is detected. The LED is an integrated Steinel system with a CRI of 80 to 89, and the fitting is rated IP44 and IK03. It runs from a 220 to 240V, 50 to 60Hz mains supply and is a Class II fitting. Where It Works Best

Steinel suggests it for terraces, front doors, courtyards and driveways, and for lighting all round the building. It is wall mounted with surface wiring. With an IP44 rating it is protected against splashing water from any direction.
