A Slim Outdoor Floodlight You Switch Yourself

The Steinel XLED Home 2 M in white is a wall mounted outdoor LED floodlight with no motion sensor. It is the plain switched version of Steinel's XLED Home 2, so it comes on and off from a wall switch rather than detecting movement. It gives 1550 lumens from 13.7W at 3000K warm white, which makes it a practical outdoor floodlight for a driveway, courtyard, terrace or the wall of a building.

White Finish with a Swivelling Panel

The housing and wall bracket are white, with a flat opal cover over the LED panel for soft, wide area lighting. The panel swivels through 180 degrees, both horizontally and vertically, so you can aim the light where you need it. The cooling system is made from a magnesium composite called HCMC, which Steinel chose for its high thermal conductivity. Steinel also makes this model in other finishes, and the sensor version carries a motion detector, so check you are choosing the one you want.

How It Works

There is no sensor or twilight control on this version, so the light is on whenever it is switched on. The LED is an integrated Steinel system, so there is no separate bulb to fit. It has a CRI of 80 to 89 and runs from a 220 to 240V, 50 to 60Hz mains supply. It is a Class II fitting and is surface wired to a wall or corner. Where It Works Best

Steinel lists it for all round the building, including a terrace or balcony, a courtyard and a driveway. It is rated IP44, so it is protected against splashing water from any direction, and it fits on a flat wall or an external corner.
