A Solar Powered Illuminated House Number
The Steinel XSolar LH-N is a solar powered LED house number light with no cable to run to it. A solar panel across the top charges a built in rechargeable battery by day, and the opal panel lights up your house number automatically at dusk. It suits a front door, gate pillar or wall where a mains supply is awkward to reach, and Steinel states it gives light 365 days a year.
Stainless Steel Finish
This version has a brushed stainless steel band across the front, between the black solar panel and the white opal number panel. The stainless steel gives it a cool, silvery look that sits well beside metal door furniture and modern cladding. A sheet of adhesive house numbers is included, so you can make up your own number or letter, such as 23a, and stick it onto the opal panel.
How It Works
A light sensor switches the LED on at dusk, at a twilight level of 2 lux, and it switches off again in daylight while the battery recharges. The battery is a 1100 mAh lithium iron phosphate type. The LED is built in, gives a 4000K neutral white light, and is not replaceable. This is a solar product with no mains supply, rated Class III and IP44, so it is protected against splashing water from any direction. It is also rated IK03 for impact. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this product.
Where It Works Best
Steinel suggests it for entrance areas and building frontages, including the front door, a courtyard or a driveway. It fixes to a wall, and it needs a spot that gets daylight on the panel so the battery can charge.
