Graypants

Graypants is a design studio founded in Seattle in 2007 by architects Seth Grizzle and Jonathan Junker, best known for its Scraplights, a range of pendant lights handcrafted from layers of recycled cardboard. The studio later opened a second workshop in Amsterdam in 2012 to handle production and distribution across Europe, and its lights are still made by hand in both locations. At Moonlight Design you'll find Graypants' Scraplights range in shapes including Disc, Drop, Bell, Hive, Ausi, Moon, Denny, Madison and the linear Hewn pendants, alongside the Roest collection in a rusted steel finish, the black steel Levity pendants, the clay and glass Barro pendants, and a Scraplights floor lamp. Each cardboard shade is individually cut and layered by hand, giving every Scraplight a warm, organic glow and a slightly different finish from the next, in keeping with the studio's use of raw and repurposed materials.
