A Classic Lantern for Entrances and Building Fronts
The Steinel L 15 M in white is a traditional outdoor wall light in the shape of a lantern, with clear panels around the lamp. This version has no motion sensor. You switch it on and off by hand with a wall switch, so it suits anyone who wants a classic outdoor wall lantern without a sensor. It takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W, and is rated IP44.
White Finish with Clear Panels
The body, bracket and lantern frame are white plastic, with clear plastic panels so the light spreads evenly around the lamp. The shaped wall bracket carries a hexagonal lantern topped with a pointed finial. Steinel also makes this model in black, so you can match it to the door and window frames of your home.
How It Works
There is no sensor, timer or twilight switch. The light works as any ordinary wall light does, controlled from your switch. It uses a bulb with an E27 screw fitting, up to 60W, and the bulb is not included. It runs from a 230 to 240V, 50Hz mains supply and is a Class II fitting, with an impact rating of IK03. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.
Where It Works Best
Steinel suggests it for building fronts and entrances, and the listed uses include a front door, a courtyard, a driveway, a terrace or balcony and all round the building. It fixes to a wall with surface wiring. At IP44 it is protected against splashing water from any direction.
