Stilnovo

Stilnovo is an Italian lighting brand founded in 1946 by Bruno Gatta in Lainate, near Milan, its name meaning new style. In the postwar decades it became known for rationalist, form follows function lighting, collaborating with designers including Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Joe Colombo and Ettore Sottsass, and winning a Compasso d'Oro award in 1955 for the Braccio lamp. The brand later went dormant before being acquired in 2019 by Linea Light Group, which relaunched Stilnovo's archive alongside new pieces.
