A Simple White Floodlight for Walls and Ceilings
The Steinel XLED ONE in white is an outdoor LED floodlight with no sensor. There is no motion detector and no daylight sensor, so it works as a plain outdoor security light that you switch on and off yourself. The LED panel tilts through 180 degrees, and the 3000K warm white light suits a driveway, courtyard or wall. The light source is built in, and Steinel quotes a life of 50,000 hours.
White Aluminium with a Tilting Panel
The housing is white aluminium, with a flat glass front over the LED panel and a polished metal end cap on the hinge. The panel sits in a bracket that lets you tip it up or down to the angle you want. Because the bracket is a simple arm, the same fitting can go on a wall or under a ceiling soffit.
How It Works
This is a switched floodlight. It has no motion sensor, no twilight sensor and no dimming, so it comes on when the supply to it is switched on. The LED is an integrated Steinel system at 3000K warm white with a CRI of 80 to 89. It cools passively, with no fan, and the LED cannot be replaced. It runs from a 220 to 240V, 50 to 60Hz mains supply and is a Class I fitting, which means it must be earthed. It is rated IP44 and IK03. It is surface wired, so the cable runs on the wall rather than inside it. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.
Where It Works Best
Steinel lists it for outdoor use all round the building, including a courtyard and driveway, on a wall or a ceiling. Under a carport roof, over a garage door or along a side wall are all good places. If you want the light to come on by itself, look at the sensor versions in the XLED ONE range instead.
