An Indoor Sensor Light for Hallways and Stairs
The Steinel RS LED M1 is a slim, square indoor LED sensor light with a built in high frequency motion sensor. It gives 759 lumens of 3000K warm white light from just 8.8W, and the sensor covers 360 degrees with a reach of 3 to 8 metres. It suits a hallway, landing, stairwell or corridor that needs light only when someone walks through.
White Cover with a Brushed Steel Frame
The opal cover is white, with a brushed stainless steel look frame around the central light panel. The body is plastic and sits just 53mm proud of the wall or ceiling, so it stays discreet. The sensor sits inside the enclosure, so there is no separate sensor head to see.
How It Works
The high frequency sensor detects movement through 360 degrees. You set the time the light stays on, from 5 seconds to 15 minutes, and the twilight level it works at, from 2 to 2000 lux, using the dials on the unit. The ideal mounting height is 2.8 metres, within a range of 2 to 4 metres. There is a night light function, and a manual override that keeps the light on for 4 hours. The LED is an integrated Steinel system. It runs from a 220 to 240V, 50 to 60Hz mains supply and is a Class II fitting. It mounts on a wall or ceiling with surface wiring. Steinel suggests it for corridors, stairwells, utility rooms and WCs. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor spaces only.
