From The Anvil

From The Anvil began in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher, and his wife Bernadette started selling ironmongery and fixings from their family home in Mid Wales. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business grew from there into a hand forging operation based in Llandrindod Wells, Powys, best known nationally for its architectural door and window hardware. In 2015 that craftsmanship extended into lighting, and it is this side of the brand you will find at Moonlight Design: pendant lights in the Brindley, Flora, Harborne, Hockley and Frankley designs, several of which are also available as wall lights or as the Brindley cluster pendant. Each fitting is hand spun from solid brass or copper, then either polished smooth or hand hammered on the inside to scatter light in a dimpled pattern, before being hand finished in one of a range of colours named after the Welsh landscape, among them Dingle green, Dusk blue grey and Soot dark grey. Every light is made to order in Wales.
