The Hockley pendant is built around one simple, striking shape: a wide, cone shaped shade that opens out from a narrow point at the ceiling to a broad rim below. The Slate Finish

This version is finished in Slate, a matte mid grey coating cast over solid brass. On the outside, the surface is smooth and even in tone, giving the pendant a cool, contemporary look that suits a modern kitchen or hallway. Turn the shade over and the character changes entirely. The interior is left in natural hammered brass, dimpled by hand so no two shades catch the light in quite the same way.

How It Works

• The wide hammered brass interior reflects and scatters the light from the bulb, casting a soft, dappled glow rather than a single hard beam.
• Supplied fully wired, complete with a matching Slate ceiling rose, 1.5m of black fabric cable and all the fixings needed to hang it.
• Takes one LED bulb only, up to 6W maximum with an E27 fitting. The bulb itself is not included.
• Dimmable, as long as it's fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working with his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. It's that same hot forging process, done by hand rather than by machine, that gives this Hockley pendant its hammered brass interior.
