A Cool Slate Finish With a Warm Brass Glow
This Brindley wall light pairs a mid grey Slate finish with the warmth of hammered brass underneath. The arm tilts up or down on a polished brass knuckle joint, so the angle of the light can be set to suit the wall it is fitted to.
The Slate Finish Over Hammered Brass
Slate is a matte, mid grey coating applied over the dome shade, while the rim and interior stay in polished brass with a hammered texture. Once a bulb is fitted, the light catches on that hammered surface and scatters into a soft, dappled wash rather than a single hard beam.
How It Works
- Supplied fully wired with a matching wall rose and the fixings needed to mount it.
- Arm and shade tilt on a brass knuckle joint, so the light can be angled up or down after fitting.
- Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- Takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E14 fitting, bulb not included.
Where It Works Best
Its cool grey tone works well in a hallway or on a staircase wall, where the adjustable arm can direct light exactly where it is needed. It also suits a bedroom or living room fitted either side of a mirror or headboard, and pairs comfortably with darker woodwork in a kitchen or dining room.
From The Anvil
From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware. Steel is still hand forged and brass and copper still hot forged there using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Brindley wall light is finished by hand at that same Welsh workshop, with the Slate coating applied over hammered brass rather than a single flat colour.

Is the Brindley wall light in Slate dimmable?
Yes, as long as it's fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. A non dimmable bulb won't allow the light to be dimmed even with a compatible dimmer switch.
