The Harborne pendant keeps a simple, rounded dome shape that suits both period and modern kitchens. Lift your eyes inside the shade and you find a hammered brass surface that catches the light, so the pendant looks calm from below and warm and textured once switched on.

The Birch Finish

This Harborne is finished in Birch, a soft pale grey that sits over the solid brass body of the shade. The painted exterior gives a smooth, matte surface, while the inside of the dome is left in natural hammered brass, so every knock of the hammer is visible and the light bounces around it in small flickers.

How It Works

• Takes one LED bulb, 6W maximum, in an E27 fitting. Bulb is not included.
• Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
• Supplied fully wired with a matching ceiling rose, 1.5m of black fabric cable and all necessary fixings.
• Shade measures 400mm in diameter and 270mm in height. Ceiling rose measures 120mm in diameter.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. The hammered brass inside this Harborne shade is shaped using that same hot forging process, so the texture you see is a direct result of the way the workshop has always worked the metal.
