A Directional Wall Light With Colour and Texture

The Brindley wall light throws a warm, dappled beam from an adjustable brass arm, so it can be aimed exactly where the light is wanted rather than staying fixed in one direction. This version is finished in Dingle, a rich green that sits over a hammered brass interior, giving the fitting colour on the outside and texture and warmth on the inside.

The Dingle Finish

Dingle is a deep green exterior coating applied over solid brass, left hammered on the inside of the shade so the surface catches light unevenly rather than reflecting it flat. Once lit, the hammered brass throws a soft, dappled wash across the wall instead of a single hard beam, while the exposed brass knuckle joints and rim add a warm metal contrast against the green.

How It Works

• Wall mounted light with an adjustable arm, held in place by two brass knuckle joints so the shade can be angled up, down or to the side.
• Supplied with a matching wall rose and all the fixings needed to hang it.
• Takes one LED bulb rated up to 6W with an E14 fitting, bulb not included.
• Dimmable when fitted with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
• Shade measures 139mm in diameter and 124mm high, with a projection of 224mm from the wall. The wall rose measures 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil started in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products, and the business went on to relocate to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, growing into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware that still hand forges steel and hot forges brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. This Brindley wall light's Dingle finish and brass knuckle joints are shaped and coated at that same Welsh workshop, each one finished and assembled by hand.

Can the Brindley wall light be angled once it's fitted?
Yes. The arm moves on two brass knuckle joints, so the shade can be tilted or turned to aim the light where it's needed.

Is this wall light dimmable?
Yes, as long as it's fitted with a dimmable LED bulb. A standard, non dimmable bulb will not respond to a dimmer switch even if one is fitted.

What bulb does it take?
