From The Anvil Hammered Brass Brindley Wall Light - Tump (Pale Green)

The Brindley wall light turns its head to point light exactly where you need it. A knuckle joint at the wall plate and another at the shade let you angle the arm and tilt the shade independently, so one fitting can wash a hallway wall or throw light down at a gentle angle over a bed. The shape is a classic factory style dome, but the pale, sage toned finish on this version gives it a softer, more contemporary look.

The Tump Finish

This piece is finished in Tump, a pale sage green coating applied over hand hammered brass. The hammer marks stay visible in a soft texture across the dome shade, and the coating is worked back at the rim, the knuckle joints and the wall rose, so warm brass shows through at every joint. Inside the shade, the brass is left bright and hammered, so when the light is switched on it reflects off the dimpled metal and glows warm and gold, even though the outside of the shade is a cool, pale green.

How It Works

• Wall mounted fitting with an adjustable arm on two brass knuckle joints, one at the wall rose and one at the shade, so both the angle of the arm and the tilt of the shade can be set independently
• Takes one 6W maximum LED bulb with an E14 fitting (bulb not supplied)
• Dimmable, as long as dimmable LED bulbs are fitted
• Shade measures 139mm in diameter and 124mm high, with a 224mm projection from the wall. The wall rose measures 105mm in diameter and 20mm deep

Where It Works Best

From The Anvil began in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and started hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business later moved to Llandrindod Wells in Powys and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting joined the range later, made at the same Welsh workshop, and the hammered texture and hand applied Tump finish on this Brindley wall light both carry that same small batch, hand forged approach through to the light on your wall.

Can I use a dimmer switch with this light?
Yes, the Brindley wall light is dimmable as long as you fit dimmable LED bulbs into the E14 lamp holder.

What bulb does the Brindley Tump wall light take?
It takes one 6W maximum LED bulb with an E14 fitting. The bulb is not included, so you will need to buy this separately.

Can I move the shade once it is fitted to the wall?
