The Brindley wall light is built for anyone who wants more than a plain brass fitting on the wall. Its dome shade carries a genuine hammered texture, so every dimple catches and scatters the light differently as you move around the room. The Hammered Brass Finish

This version is finished in solid, polished brass with the hammered texture worked into the surface of the shade itself, not printed or etched on. The brass has a warm gold tone that will develop its own soft patina with age and handling, which is normal for a natural brass finish and part of what makes it feel handmade rather than mass produced. The shade sits on an adjustable knuckle joint, so once it is fixed to the wall you can angle the head up, down or across to point the light exactly where you want it.

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996, when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. The Brindley wall light's hammered brass shade is a direct product of that hot forging process, each one still finished by hand rather than stamped out identically.

What bulb do I need for the Brindley wall light?
It takes one 6W maximum LED bulb with an E14 fitting. The bulb is not supplied.

Can I dim this light?
Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable LED bulb and use it with a compatible dimmer switch.

Can I angle the shade once it is fitted?
Yes. The shade is held on an adjustable knuckle joint, so you can tilt it up, down or sideways to direct the light where you need it.

Will the brass finish change colour over time?
It can develop a soft patina with age and handling, which is normal for a solid brass finish and does not affect how the light works.
