From The Anvil Hammered Brass Brindley Pendant

The Brindley pendant in hammered brass is a single dome ceiling light with a strong, warehouse inspired shape. It is spun from solid brass, which gives it real weight in the hand and a warm golden colour on the wall.

The outside of the shade is left smooth and brightly polished, while the inside is hand hammered, so every dimple throws its own small reflection once a bulb is switched on. It hangs from a slim black fabric cable and a matching ribbed brass ceiling rose, finished to the same warm gold tone as the shade.

Where It Works Best

From The Anvil

From The Anvil was founded in 1996 when Mark Underhill, a former metalwork teacher and joiner, bought a small ironmongery supplier called MF Supplies and began hand forging his own range of hardware from a workshop in Mid Wales, working alongside his wife Bernadette. The From The Anvil brand launched in 2000 with around fifty handmade products. The business relocated to Llandrindod Wells, Powys, and grew into a family run manufacturer of ironmongery, lighting and homeware, still hand forging steel and hot forging brass and copper using traditional methods alongside modern engineering. Lighting became part of the range later, produced at the same Welsh workshop. The Brindley's hammered brass shade is shaped using that same hot forging skill, with each dimple worked by hand rather than pressed by machine.
