Some rooms need a single object to anchor them, and the Sun 48 in white is built for exactly that job. Its sunburst of knife-cut cardboard rays stretches 128 centimetres from tip to tip, wrapped around a central glass diffuser that softens the light to a gentle, even wash rather than the deeper amber of the natural cardboard pieces. In white, the silhouette reads more sculptural than rustic, at home above a hotel reception desk, in a boutique restaurant, or hung low over a long dining table in a contemporary or biophilic scheme. It hardwires directly to the ceiling, arriving with a cord and round canopy so the drop can be set to suit a high ceiling or a more intimate space.
- Scale: 128cm diameter, the largest Sun size, in White.
- Material: Sustainably sourced cardboard, knife cut by hand in White, bonded with non-toxic adhesive and fire retardant treated, with powder coated steel and a glass diffuser.
- Light: Glass diffuser gives an even, softly diffused glow, dimmable with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
- Fitting: Hardwired ceiling pendant with cord and round canopy, drop set at installation; six E27 sockets, each taking an LED bulb of up to 15W (bulbs not included).
- Installation: We recommend all lighting is installed by a qualified electrician.
Questions People Ask
How big is the Graypants Sun 48 pendant?
It is a large pendant, 128cm in diameter and 108cm high, and it weighs about 12kg, so it needs a suitable ceiling fixing. Please check the dimensions against your ceiling height and space before ordering.
How is the Sun 48 installed?
It is a hardwired ceiling pendant and should be installed by a qualified electrician. It comes with a 2m white fabric cord and a round canopy, and a 5m cord is available if you enquire.
What bulbs does the Sun 48 take, and can it be dimmed?
It has six E27 sockets, each taking an LED bulb of up to 15W. The bulbs are not supplied. The glass diffuser gives an even glow, and it can be dimmed with a compatible dimmable LED bulb.
Can I return the Sun 48 if I change my mind?
No. Because of the nature of this product it is strictly non returnable. If you would like to see the fittings or receive a swatch sample, please enquire.
