Colour Changing Light That Takes a Walking On

The GL090RGBW is Collingwood's high output ground light, built to sit flush in a patio, driveway or path and switch between everyday white light and full colour for effect. It's the larger option in Collingwood's colour changing ground light range, giving more spread than the smaller GL016 and GL019 fittings when a single small ground light won't cover enough area.

Marine Grade Stainless Steel

The visible bezel is 316 stainless steel, the same grade used in marine fittings, so it holds up close to the coast or under regular hosing down. It comes in one finish, a brushed stainless steel face with the Collingwood name stamped discreetly into the rim.

How It Works

• Draws up to 12W across four channels: 2W on red, and 3W each on green, blue and a separate 4000K white channel.
• The dedicated white channel means it can run as ordinary white light day to day, then switch to colour when you want a different mood.
• Runs at low voltage and wires in series, so it needs a separate driver and a compatible RGBW controller. Neither is included.
• Light spreads at a 45° beam angle, wide enough to wash a path or the edge of a patio without a hard spotlight effect.
• Needs a 70mm cutout to fit, with a body 75mm in diameter and 97mm deep.

Where It Works Best

This is a light for anywhere it's going to get walked on, driven over or rained on. Think driveways, garden paths, patios and larger paved areas where a single small ground light wouldn't give enough coverage. It works just as well marking the edge of a terrace as it does picking out a run of steps or a stretch of decking near a pool.

Can this ground light be driven over?
Yes. It's rated IK08 for impact resistance and designed to be walked or driven over as part of a driveway or path.

Does it come with a driver or controller?
No. It's a low voltage fitting wired in series, so it needs a separate driver and a compatible RGBW controller to operate, both sold separately.

Can I use it as plain white light without the colour changing effect?
Yes. It has its own dedicated 4000K white LED channel alongside the red, green and blue channels, so it can run as ordinary white light day to day.
