Collingwood GL019 Eyelid LED Ground Light - Stainless Steel - Low Voltage

The GL019 Eyelid is a small recessed ground light with an asymmetric lens that pushes all its light downward and to one side, so there's no glare shining back up at you even though it sits flush in a wall, floor or ceiling. That eyelid-shaped beam makes it useful for lighting steps or a path edge without the light source itself being visible from above, which is the usual problem with round ground lights.

It's a low voltage fitting, running at either 1W (350mA) or 2W (700mA), and needs a separate LED driver to work as it isn't mains-rated. At 2700K it puts out 36 lumens on the 1W setting, and at 3000K that rises slightly to 41 lumens, with a spread beam angle of around 50 degrees. It's built from 316 stainless steel, rated IP68 so it can handle standing water and coastal exposure, and comes with a 7 year guarantee.

The cut-out size is a neat 33mm, small enough for tight spots between decking boards or paving joints. As it's low voltage, wiring should still be carried out by a qualified electrician alongside the appropriate driver.
