The Hooked 1.0 Large in Stone strips a pendant light down to its most honest parts: a solid metal shade, a length of cable, and a hook you can see doing its job. Nothing here is disguised as something else. The stone powder coating gives the large shade a soft, chalky presence that reads as calm rather than cold, while the exposed hook and cable keep the engineering on full display.

Stone covers the shade in that soft neutral powder coating, built to sit quietly against most wall colours. The hook, lamp holder and cable ends come in Steel, Brass or Smoked Bronze, so you can decide how much the hardware itself stands out against the stone.

How It Works

The shade is solid metal with matte rubber detailing at the cross knurl grip, and it hangs from a solid metal hook that clips onto a ceiling mounted plate. Cable length is adjustable, either by tucking slack into the cavity behind the ceiling plate or by having a professional cut it to length. It takes a single E27 bulb, up to 40W, not included.

Where It Works Best

At 340mm tall and 210mm across, the Large shade throws a wider pool of light than its Small sibling, so it suits a single pendant over a side table, reading chair or narrow console rather than a wide dining table. If you want several heads working together instead of one, the 3.0 and 6.0 versions cluster multiple pendants from one ceiling point.

Founded in 2013, Buster + Punch began with Massimo Buster Minale splitting his time between two very different worlds: architecture practices like Foster and Partners during the day, and a motorbike strewn garage in Shoreditch at night.
