The Topo Clamp Table Lamp in black is a clamp mounted task light that grips onto the edge of a desk or shelf, leaving the surface beneath it free.

Black finish

Joe Colombo designed Topo around the idea of a car bonnet closing over an engine, and the black finish makes that reference feel almost industrial. Slits cut into the metal shell recall the vents on a 1960s sports car, and the shade's rounded profile hugs the E27 bulb it houses.

How it works

The jointed arm extends, folds and rotates so the head can be positioned exactly where you need it, low and close for reading or raised and angled for general light.

Where it works best

It suits a study or home office desk, wherever a compact, adjustable task light is wanted without taking up desk space.

The story behind Stilnovo

Stilnovo was founded in Milan in 1946 by Bruno Gatta, and this black finish gives Joe Colombo's design an understated, architectural character.
