Stilnovo Topo Clamp Table Lamp - Chrome

The Stilnovo Topo Clamp Table Lamp in chrome is a task light that attaches to the edge of a desk, shelf or bookcase with a sprung clamp, rather than needing a base or foot of its own.

It is a design by Joe Colombo, and it wears its automotive inspiration openly: the slotted metal shell recalls the cooling vents cut into 1960s sports cars, and the rounded shade wraps around its E27 bulb the way bodywork wraps around an engine. Cast in bright chrome, the whole piece has a cool, machined quality that catches the light along every seam.

Two jointed arms give it real flexibility. Pull the head in close and angle it down for reading or close work, or extend it out and tilt it upward for a softer wash of light across a room. On a desk in a home office or study, that adjustability counts for a lot.
