A soft, continuous line of light for shapes straight strip can't reach
Most LED strip lighting shows up as a row of individual bright dots behind a diffuser. The Collingwood LSNS neon strip does something different. Its silicone extruded coating spreads the light into one smooth, glowing line, closer to neon than to standard LED tape, so you get a clean edge of light rather than a string of little suns.
Side bend, low voltage, built to wrap
This version bends from the side rather than the top, so it curves around cylindrical shapes such as columns, curved bar fronts or the edge of a water feature, with a bend radius of 60mm. The tape itself is white, 17mm high and 12mm wide, and runs on a low voltage 24V DC supply. It comes in 2700K, 3000K or 4000K, in 6.5W per metre for under cabinet and kickboard work or 9.6W per metre for more general ambient lighting, and is sold in 3m, 5m or 10m lengths with no drop off in brightness even on the longer runs.
How It Works
- Silicone extruded coating diffuses individual LEDs into one continuous line of light
- Cut points every 50mm let you size a run to fit the space rather than the reel
- Runs on a Class III, 24V DC low voltage supply via a separate driver, sold apart from the strip
- Wired in parallel and rated IP67, so it copes with water, UV and everyday chemicals rather than just resisting the odd splash
- Dimming is possible but depends entirely on the driver you pair it with
Where It Works Best
Because it's IP67 and UV and chemical resistant, this strip is equally at home indoors or out. Use the 6.5W per metre version tucked under kitchen cabinets or along a kickboard, and the 9.6W per metre version for coving, joinery or feature lighting in living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways, offices or stairwells. Outdoors, the side bend profile suits wrapping around columns, garden walls, bar fronts or the surround of a pool or water feature, where a continuous line reads far better than a row of dots. As it has no self adhesive backing, it's fitted using Collingwood's separate rigid or flexible mounting accessories rather than stuck straight to a surface.
Collingwood Lighting
Collingwood designs and manufactures its LED products from Sywell in Northamptonshire, and has specialised in LED technology since 2002. The brand says it was among the first to bring fire rated, fully sealed for life and mains dimmable LED products into the UK electrical wholesale market, and its wider LED strip system, of which this neon tape is one part, reflects that same focus on properly engineered, weatherproof lighting rather than generic tape. Collingwood has also been awarded a Gold medal by EcoVadis, placing it in the top 5% of companies assessed globally for sustainability.

Questions People Ask
Does this strip come with a driver?
No. It runs on 24V DC and needs a separate driver, chosen to suit the length and wattage of the run.
Can I stick it straight onto a surface?
No. It has no self adhesive backing, so it's fitted using Collingwood's separate rigid or flexible mounting accessories.
Can it be dimmed?
Dimming depends on which driver you pair it with, rather than being built into the strip itself.
Where can I cut it to length?
Cut points come every 50mm, so you can size a run to fit the space rather than being limited to the full reel length.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. It's IP67 rated as well as UV and chemical resistant, so it works outdoors and in wet locations such as around a pool.
