The Collingwood H2 Sense is a PIR downlight with the motion sensor built into the fitting itself. There's no separate sensor to wire in or hide above the ceiling, just one unit that lights up when someone walks in and switches itself off again once the room's empty.

Steel and polycarbonate, colour switchable on site

The fitting is made from steel and polycarbonate. The bezel that finishes the visible face is sold separately, so you'll need to choose one to complete the installation. Colour temperature is switchable between 2700K, 3000K and 4000K, so you can set the fitting to warm white or cool white without ordering a different product. It runs at 6W with an output of 600 to 675 lumens depending on which colour temperature you choose, a CRI of 80, and a 50 degree beam angle.

How It Works

Because the PIR sensor sits inside the fitting, this is a single self contained unit rather than a light plus a separate sensor accessory. It's rated Class II, and dimming isn't supported on this fitting. It's an on or off, motion controlled light rather than one to put on a dimmer circuit.

Where It Works Best

This suits rooms people pass through rather than sit in: hallways, landings, stairwells, utility rooms and cloakrooms all work well with a sensor controlled downlight. With an IP65 rating from below, it's also rated for bathroom zone 1, so it can go over a bath or shower as well as in drier parts of the house.
