Stainless Steel, Built for Life Outside

This version is made from marine grade 316 stainless steel, the same grade used in coastal fittings and boat hardware because it resists corrosion so well. It suits gardens near the coast just as well as inland driveways, patios and decking, and it keeps its brushed finish through UK weather.

How It Works

The GL040 uses a single point source lens rather than a wide diffused output, so light stays focused where you point it. Choose a 12 degree beam for a tight, dramatic uplight on a tree or column, or a 40 degree beam for a softer wash across a wall or path.

Colour temperature comes in 2700K, 3000K or 4000K, so you can match warm, neutral or cooler white light to the rest of your outdoor lighting. It's low voltage, which means it needs a separate driver to step down the mains supply, and it wires in series so several fittings can share one driver rather than each needing its own.

Where It Works Best

Because it's walk over rated and IP68 sealed, the GL040 works in places that take real foot and wheel traffic: patios, driveways, garden paths and pool surrounds. Can I really walk on this light?
Yes. It's walk over rated and IK08 impact resistant, so foot traffic and light vehicle traffic across a driveway are both fine.

Does it come with a driver?
No. It's a low voltage fitting, so it needs a separate driver to run from the mains. Because it wires in series, one driver can often run several GL040 units together.

Which beam angle should I choose?
The 12 degree beam gives a tight, focused uplight, good for a single tree or column. The 40 degree beam spreads wider, better for washing light across a wall or a stretch of path.
