Nineteen Spheres, Effervescent and Cloud Like
Nineteen glass spheres, in a range of sizes, cluster around a brass frame in an effervescent, cloud like formation that rewards viewing from every angle. In marble glass, each globe carries a soft, milky, internal veining that gives the Nova 19 a quietly luxurious character, the light filtering through the glass in warm, layered tones that shift subtly as the eye moves across the piece.
Marble Glass, Depth Without Losing the Glow
Marble is one of Schwung's three signature glass finishes, its softly veined, milky pattern sitting between the full diffusion of opal glass and the fine linear detail of Dries Ribbon. Light passing through it takes on a layered quality, with the internal veining adding visual depth to each globe rather than a flat, even glow.
Choose Your Finish
The brass frame is available in Black Gunmetal, Lacquered Burnished Brass, or Polished Nickel, so the metal tone can be matched to the room or chosen to sit against the marbled glass.
How It Works
The Nova 19 takes 19 x 5W LED bulbs (E14/E12 base, included), together producing between 8,550 and 9,500 lumens at a warm 3000K, for a total of 95W. It is dimmable, but only with electronic ELV or trailing edge dimmers. The fitting is 688mm in diameter, with rods supplied to set the drop between 630mm and 1,530mm on a fixed ceiling, or 732mm to 1,632mm on a vaulted one, and weighs approximately 20kg. The fitting is rated IP20, so it is intended for dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms. All rods and bulbs are included in the box.
Where It Works Best
A dining room, a double height entrance hall, or a large living room, where a single fitting is expected to set the tone for the whole space. The marble glass suits interiors that want a chandelier with genuine presence but a softer, warmer glow than fully exposed clear glass would give.
Made by Schwung
Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. Every Nova 19 is made to order in solid brass and hand blown marble glass at the brand's Namyslow workshop, with the milky veining in each globe varying slightly from one to the next, since every sphere is blown and finished by hand.

Questions People Ask
How does marble glass differ from opal mat glass on the Nova 19?
Marble glass has a softly veined, milky internal pattern that adds visual depth and layered tones to the light, while opal mat glass diffuses light fully and evenly with no internal pattern visible.
Is the veining pattern the same on every globe?
No, because each globe is hand blown, the exact veining pattern varies slightly from one sphere to the next, which is normal for this glass type.
How much ceiling height do I need?
With the shortest rods fitted, the drop starts at 630mm on a standard fixed ceiling, so it's worth measuring your ceiling height and the surface below before ordering.
