The Armstrong 6R mirrors the 6L exactly, its six globes sweeping outward and down to the right rather than the left. In marble glass, the same milky, gently veined character applies, each of the six globes carrying its own subtle variation since the glass is mouth-blown rather than moulded. Fixed to the same angular brass spine, it reads as a single sculptural sweep of light.

In Marble Glass

Marble glass diffuses light through a softly veined, milky white body, giving a warmer and more layered glow than a plain opal finish. The veining is different in every globe, so the fitting has a handmade quality that's visible even before the lights are switched on. It suits interiors built around natural materials, stone worktops, timber, aged metals, where a richer, more textured light feels considered rather than incidental.

Choose Your Finish

Lacquered burnished brass, polished nickel and black gunmetal are the three frame options, all carrying the same six marble globes. Burnished brass leans warm and traditional, polished nickel cooler and more reflective, black gunmetal the most contemporary and graphic of the three.

How It Works

Six 5W LED candelabra (E12) bulbs come included, one per globe, for a combined 30W at 2700K and around 3000 lumens. It's dimmable with a low voltage electronic or trailing edge dimmer. The fitting runs to approximately 139cm high, 35cm wide and 33cm deep, weighing around 5.8kg, and can be flush mounted to a ceiling or fixed to a wall using a single circular backplate around 12cm across. No IP rating is listed, so it's suited to dry indoor rooms only.

Where It Works Best

As the mirror of the 6L, the 6R is the natural right hand half of a symmetrical pair either side of a fireplace, bed or wide chimney breast, though it stands perfectly well alone wherever a rightward sweep of warm, layered light is wanted, a landing, a dining room wall, or above a sideboard. The marble glass suits more formal, traditionally furnished rooms particularly well.

Made by Schwung

Schwung was founded in Namyslow, Poland, in 2014, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. Every Armstrong fitting, in either orientation, is made to order at their Polish workshop, with the brass frame hand finished and each glass globe individually mouth blown rather than mass produced.

Questions People Ask

Is the 6R just the 6L flipped, or a different fitting?
It's the same fitting, built as a mirror image. The globes sweep right instead of left, which makes the two versions a natural symmetrical pair.

What finish works best with marble glass?
All three frame finishes suit it, but lacquered burnished brass tends to complement the glass's warm veining most closely, while black gunmetal offers more contrast.

Can it be ceiling mounted rather than wall mounted?
Yes, the same fitting can be flush mounted to a ceiling or fixed to a wall.
