The Armstrong 4R is the right-facing counterpart in Schwung's compact wall sconce family, its four globes sweeping right from a central brass plate. In Marble glass, each globe carries a soft, veined interior that gives the small fitting a depth beyond a simple diffused glow.

In Marble Glass

Marble glass is hand-blown with a fine milky texture running through it, so light escapes unevenly and each globe develops its own faint pattern once lit. The effect is warmer and more layered than plain opal glass, with a handmade quality that suits richer, more considered interiors.

Choose Your Finish

The brass frame is available in Lacquered Burnished Brass, Black Gunmetal, or Polished Nickel, letting the fitting sit warm or cool depending on the rest of the room.

How It Works

Four E14 LED bulbs are included, 5W each, with the option to fit dimmable bulbs for a dimmer circuit. It measures approximately 92.2cm high by 35.2cm wide by 33.1cm deep and weighs around 9kg. This is a wall-mounted fitting only. It is made to order in Poland, typically within 4 to 6 weeks.

Where It Works Best

Use the 4R on its own to the right of a doorway, bed head, or fireplace, or pair it with the matching 4L on the opposite side for a symmetrical installation. The Marble glass suits bedrooms, dressing rooms, and living rooms furnished with natural materials.

Made by Schwung

Founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen, Schwung makes every fitting to order from solid brass and mouth blown glass. The Marble finish is one of three signature glass textures the brand developed to vary the light and character of its brass frames.

How is the 4R different from the 4L?
The 4R's globes sweep to the right of the wall plate, mirroring the 4L, whose globes sweep left, so the two can be installed as a symmetrical pair either side of a feature.

Can the 4R be installed on its own?
Yes, it does not need to be paired with a 4L and works well as a single directional sconce.

Is it dimmable?
Yes, with dimmable LED bulbs fitted and a compatible dimmer circuit.
