Hunza Pure LED Wall Down Light - Copper - Low Voltage

An Integrated LED Wash Light for Low Voltage Circuits

The Hunza Pure LED Wall Down Light has the same fixed head, one direction wash of light as the standard Down Light, but with the LED built into the fitting rather than a separate replaceable lamp. This version runs on low voltage.

The Copper Finish

Solid copper, not plated, so it will weather and darken outdoors with age rather than holding a fixed colour, a finish Hunza designs to change over time.

How It Works

The LED chip sits inside the fitting, so there is no separate lamp to source, and the LED board is field replaceable and serviceable. You specify colour temperature, beam angle and lens at the point of ordering: 2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K, in 15°, 25°, 38° or 60° beam angles, clear or frosted. It gives 600 lumens from 6 watts with a CRI of 90+ at 3000K. The body is 63.5mm in diameter and 75mm long, on a 78mm diameter base that is 28mm deep, with 1m of cable supplied. PureLED low voltage fittings must be installed in series with a remote driver, rather than the driver being built in. It is IP66 rated and dimmable with a suitable dimmable driver.

Where It Works Best

Suited to the same long, flat surfaces as the standard Down Light, exterior walls, gable ends, cladding, boundary fencing, where you want an integrated LED solution rather than a replaceable lamp, and are happy to run a remote driver as part of the low voltage circuit.

Our Lighting Design Service

Since 2003 Moonlight Design has specified Hunza. We design lighting schemes for gardens, supply Hunza fittings and install them with NICEIC registered electricians. The PureLED copper Down Light comes up on projects where clients want the simplicity of an integrated LED without giving up the option to run it through low voltage cable. The project photographs on our Design Service page show our own completed schemes, and how we plan, draw up and install them. Do visit it if you are weighing up how to light a long wall or fence.

Good to Know

• Made to order, and usually shipped within 2 to 3 days, or 3 to 5 weeks if your specification is temporarily out of stock.
• Returns: this fitting can be returned within 14 days of delivery if unused, uninstalled and in original packaging.
• The LED is built in, so there is no separate lamp to buy, and the LED board is field replaceable.
• A remote driver is needed to run it, and that is sold separately.
• Check your colour temperature, beam angle and lens choice carefully before ordering, as these are made to order specifications.
• A registered NICEIC electrician should install this fitting.

Questions People Ask

Can I replace the LED if it fails?
There is no separate lamp to swap, but Hunza describes the LED board as plug and play, field replaceable and serviceable, so a fault can usually be repaired rather than requiring a whole new fitting.

What lens and colour temperature choices are there?
Four colour temperatures, 2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K, four beam angles, 15°, 25°, 38° or 60°, and a clear or frosted lens, all chosen when you order.

Does this fitting need a driver?
Yes. PureLED low voltage fittings run in series with a remote driver, sold separately, rather than a driver built into the fitting.

How is this different from the standard Wall Down Light?
The standard version takes a replaceable Hunza approved MR16 lamp. This PureLED version has the LED built in, so there is no separate retail lamp to buy.

Will the copper finish change colour over time?
Yes, by design. It will weather from bright copper toward a darker brown and eventually green verdigris outdoors, which Hunza treats as part of the finish rather than a fault.
