A Copper Spotlight on a Slim Pole
The Hunza Pure LED Single Pole Light lifts a small spotlight to the top of an 850mm pole, so the light falls onto the path and planting from above rather than glaring up from the ground. The head turns through 360 degrees and tilts from 0 to 90 degrees, and it can be aimed straight down to cut out vertical light altogether. This low voltage version is made from solid copper.
Solid Copper That Settles Into the Garden
Copper here is the real metal, not a coating. When new it is bright and warm, and outdoors it is designed to weather and patina, deepening to brown and then a soft green over time. No two pole lights age quite the same way, which is part of the appeal among borders and shrubs. Colours shown online are for indication only, and swatches are available on request.
How It Works
- Fully adjustable arm with 360 degree rotation and 0 to 90 degree elevation.
- A Cree LED chip gives 600 lumens from 6 watts, with a CRI of 90 or more at 3000K. The LED is integrated and the parts are serviceable.
- Choose 2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K, a 15, 25, 38 or 60 degree beam and a clear or frosted lens when you order.
- Body diameter 63.5mm and body length 75mm, on a pole 38mm in diameter and 850mm long, supplied with 1m of cable.
- Low voltage and installed in series, so it needs a remote LED driver, sold separately.
- Dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver.
- Rated IP56/IP66 with a 10 year warranty, 5 years on the LED.
Where It Works Best
- Beside garden paths, where the head can be angled down to light the surface
- Among low foliage and shrubs, to pick out leaf texture and shape
- Along the edge of a border, with the beam angle chosen to suit the planting depth
- Near steps or a patio where you want gentle light with little spill
Planning and Installing Your Scheme With Us
Moonlight Design has worked with Hunza since 2003. We design lighting schemes for gardens, supply Hunza fittings and have them installed by NICEIC registered electricians. The project photographs on our Design Service page are our own completed schemes, and they show how we plan a layout and draw it up. Take a look there if you would like to see how a scheme comes together.
Good to Know
- Made to order: usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If your specification is temporarily out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
- Returns accepted within 14 days if the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
- A remote LED driver is needed and is sold separately. Because the circuit is wired in series, have it planned before installation.
- Copper will darken and change colour outdoors. This is natural and not a fault.
- We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Questions People Ask
Can I point the light straight down?
Yes. The head tilts from 0 to 90 degrees and rotates through 360 degrees, so it can be aimed downward to remove vertical light.
Will the copper stay shiny?
No. Solid copper is designed to patina outdoors, moving from bright copper to brown and eventually a soft green.
Does it need a driver?
Yes. This is the low voltage version, installed in series with a remote LED driver that is sold separately.
Can I dim it?
Yes, when it is used with a suitable dimmable driver.
