A Copper Moonlight Hung From the Branches
The Hunza Pure LED Hanging Light is a single spotlight that you suspend from a high point such as a tree, a fence or an overhang, to give a dynamic moonlight effect. Hung in a canopy, it sends light down through the branches and leaves a dappled pool on the lawn or terrace beneath. In copper, it is a warm, small cylinder that blends into the tree. The LED chip is built in, and this is the low voltage version.
Solid Copper That Settles Into the Tree
The body is solid copper, made to weather naturally. It starts out bright and warm, then deepens to brown and in time to a soft green, which helps it sit quietly among leaves and bark. That colour change is intended by Hunza and is not a fault. A stainless steel version and a powder coated aluminium version are available if you prefer a different finish.
How It Works
- Supplied with a 3m cable and 3m of stainless steel hanging wire, so you can hang it from a high point.
- Cree LED chip with 600 lumens from 6 watts and a CRI of 90 or more at 3000K. Its parts are serviceable.
- Select your colour temperature (2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K), beam angle (15, 25, 38 or 60 degrees) and a clear or frosted lens.
- Body diameter 63.5mm and length 75mm.
- Low voltage, wired in series, so it needs a remote LED driver such as the Hunza 1050mA driver, sold separately.
- Dimmable with a suitable dimmable driver.
- Rated IP66 with a 10 year warranty, and 5 years on the LED.
Where It Works Best
- Hung high in a mature tree to light the ground below
- Fixed to a fence post or beam, shining down onto a path
- Under a pergola or overhang, where there is nowhere to fix a conventional spike
- Over a seating area, for a gentle, moonlit look
Tree Lighting Planned by Moonlight Design
We have worked with Hunza since 2003. We design lighting schemes for gardens, supply Hunza fittings and install them. On our Design Service page you will find photographs of our own finished schemes, and an explanation of how we plan, draw up and install them with NICEIC registered electricians. If you are not sure how many lights a tree needs or how high to hang them, that page is a good first stop.
Good to Know
- Made to order: usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If your specification is temporarily out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
- Returns accepted within 14 days if unused, uninstalled and in the original packaging.
- The LED is built in, so there is no separate lamp to buy.
- A remote driver is required, and the series circuit should be planned before installation.
- Solid copper darkens outdoors, and this is normal.
- We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.

It comes with 3m of stainless steel wire, so it can be hung from trees, fences and overhangs.
How long is the supplied cable?
The fitting is supplied with a 3m cable.
Will the copper stay shiny?
No. Solid copper is designed to patina outdoors, moving from bright copper to brown and eventually green.

Narrow beams of 15 or 25 degrees give a tighter pool of light, while 38 or 60 degrees spread wider across the ground below.
