Stainless Steel Bezel, Aluminium Body

This version has a 316 marine grade stainless steel bezel, the same steel used for boat fittings, so it copes with salt air, road grit and pressure washing without staining or pitting over time. The body underneath is anodised aluminium, finned to draw heat away from the LED engine, which keeps the light output stable rather than fading as the unit warms up. The bezel carries the visible screw fixings you'd expect on a fitting meant to be walked and driven over, rather than a decorative trim.

How It Works

A single LED engine sits inside the housing, producing 3300 lumens at a warm 3000K through a 34 degree beam, with a CRI above 80 for reasonably accurate colour rendering on brickwork or planting nearby. The tilt mechanism lets you angle that beam up to 25 degrees off vertical, so instead of a fixed uplight you can wash a wall, a tree or a facade at an angle. It wires straight to the mains, so there's no separate driver to find space for, and it arrives pre wired with a 1 metre cable to make the below ground connection quicker. Two control options are sold as separate SKUs: a DALI-2 dimmable version running at 28W for sites with a proper lighting control system, and a TRIAC mains dimmable version running at 30W for a standard dimmer circuit. It carries an IP67 rating for complete protection against dust and water ingress, which also brings it within the requirements for bathroom zone 2, if you ever wanted to use it as a recessed floor light in a wet room. Driveways and parking areas are the obvious fit, given the drive over rating, but it also earns its place along garden paths, patios and courtyard edges where a flush fitting matters more than a raised bollard. Commercial sites use it for marking out delivery routes or pedestrian crossings over a forecourt, and its coastal grade steel makes it a sensible choice for seafront properties, marinas or any exposed site that gets salt spray and winter grit in equal measure.
