A Downlight That Adapts to the Room Instead of Locking You In
The H2 Deco CSP is an architectural downlight built for ceilings where you want the light to blend in rather than stand out. What sets it apart is that both the wattage and the colour temperature switch on site, so you can fine tune the output and tone after the fitting is already in the ceiling, rather than having to get the choice right before it's plastered over.
White Bezel, Black Reflector
This version pairs a white outer bezel with a black reflector cone set inside it. The white ring sits flush against the ceiling for a clean finish, while the black reflector recedes into shadow, so what you notice is the disc of light rather than the metalwork around it. Viewed from below, the LED sits well back inside the cone, and the heat sink fins and spring clips that hold it in place only become visible once you look at it from an angle.
How It Works
- Switches between 6.5W and 10W on site, giving 500 to 650 lumens at 6.5W or 650 to 900 lumens at 10W, depending on the colour temperature chosen.
- Colour temperature is also switchable, across 2200K, 2700K, 3000K and 4000K, so the same fitting can run warmer or cooler depending on the room.
- Runs at a 40 degree beam angle with CRI80 colour rendering.
- The LED is integral and mains dimmable, with no separate driver needed, it wires straight to the mains supply in parallel.
- Rated IK07 for impact resistance, and can be fitted with an emergency converter where an escape route needs emergency lighting.
Where It Works Best
It's rated IP65 from below and IP20 from above, which covers bathroom zone 1 as well as ordinary living spaces. That makes it a sensible choice for kitchens, living rooms, hallways and bathrooms alike, anywhere you want a downlight that can be switched between a cooler working light and a warmer, more relaxed tone depending on the time of day. See our guide to bathroom lighting zones if you're not sure which zone your ceiling falls into.
Collingwood Lighting
Collingwood Lighting has specialised in LED technology since 2002, designing and manufacturing its products from Sywell in Northamptonshire. The brand says its early mains dimmable products were part of what first brought that kind of flexibility to the UK electrical wholesale market, and a switchable fitting like the H2 Deco carries that same idea further by letting wattage and colour temperature adjust after installation. Collingwood has also been awarded a Gold medal by EcoVadis, placing it in the top 5% of companies assessed globally for sustainability.

Questions People Ask
What's the difference between the 6.5W and 10W settings?
The 6.5W setting gives 500 to 650 lumens and the 10W setting gives 650 to 900 lumens, with the exact figure depending on which colour temperature is selected.
Can I change the colour temperature after it's fitted?
Yes. Colour temperature switches on site across 2200K, 2700K, 3000K and 4000K, so it can be set or changed once the fitting is already in the ceiling.
Is this downlight suitable for a bathroom?
Yes. It's rated IP65 from below, which covers bathroom zone 1, though it's only IP20 from above, so it still needs a dry void above the ceiling.
Why choose a black reflector rather than a white one?
A black reflector absorbs more stray light inside the cone instead of reflecting it back out, which keeps the fitting looking calmer and less like a bright ring when you glance towards it.
Does it need a separate driver?
No. The LED is integral and it wires directly to the mains, so there's no separate driver to fit or hide above the ceiling.
Can it be used on an emergency lighting circuit?
Yes, it can be fitted with an emergency converter where the ceiling forms part of an escape route.
