A Ground Light That Throws Light Four Ways

The GL100 is Collingwood's mini domed ground light, built to sit flush with a path, driveway or patio rather than stand above it. This four facet version is the highest output configuration in the GL100 range, sending a soft glow out in four directions from a single fitting, so you can light both sides of a walkway without doubling up on units.

Stainless Steel 316, Built for the Ground

This version is finished in stainless steel 316, a grade chosen for its resistance to corrosion outdoors, including in coastal locations. The domed housing measures 40mm across and 46mm deep, weighs just 0.2kg, and needs a 33mm cut out to fit. Four milled facets around the dome split the light into four beams rather than one.

How It Works

• Runs at 1W on a 350mA driver or 2W on a 700mA driver, with the driver bought and wired in separately.
• Available in 2700K, 3000K or 4000K, with a CRI of 80 and a 75 degree beam angle from each facet.
• Dimmable when paired with a suitable driver.

Because it's rated IP68 and submersible to 9 metres, with IK07 impact resistance, this is a genuinely walk over ground light rather than one that just tolerates the occasional footstep. It suits driveways, wider garden paths and patios, coastal gardens exposed to salt spray and standing water, and step edges where a low, ground level glow is more useful than a spotlight. With four facets, it puts out more light than the single or twin facet GL100 versions, so it's the option to reach for on a wider path or driveway rather than a narrow edge.

Questions People Ask

What's the difference between this and the other GL100 versions?
This is the four facet configuration, the highest output in the GL100 range, throwing light in four directions from one fitting. Single and twin facet versions put out less light and are aimed at gentler path marking.

Does it come with a driver?
No. As a low voltage fitting it needs a separate driver, sized to the 350mA or 700mA current you want to run it at, and this isn't supplied with the light.

Can this be driven over as well as walked over?
With IP68 and IK07 ratings it's built to take regular foot and light vehicle traffic without damage, which is why it's specified for driveways as well as paths.

How are multiple ground lights wired together?
They're wired in series, with waterproof connectors sold separately to join each unit to the next along the run.
