A Ground Light Built to Take a Beating
The GL100 sits flush into paving, decking or a lawn edge and stays there under whatever the ground throws at it. This version has 2 facets, both angled the same way, so it throws a stronger line of light along one side of a path or step rather than spreading evenly in every direction.
The Stainless Steel Finish
This GL100 is finished in 316 stainless steel, the marine grade used where a fitting needs to resist rain, frost and salt air without corroding. The domed cap carries the Collingwood name etched into the housing, and the flush profile means it sits level with the surrounding surface once installed.
How It Works
It runs at 1W on a 350mA driver or 2W on a 700mA driver, and comes in 2700K, 3000K or 4000K with a CRI of 80, so you can match it to warmer or cooler lighting elsewhere in the garden. The beam angle is 75°, and it can be dimmed with a suitable dimmable driver. Being low voltage, it needs a separate driver that isn't included, wired in series with any other fittings sharing the same run, so it's worth specifying alongside the driver based on how many lights you're running together.
Where It Works Best
With an IP68 rating and submersible to 9 metres, this is a fitting for spots that genuinely get wet, not just occasional rain, such as path edges near ponds or areas prone to puddling. The IK07 impact resistance and walk over rating mean it can take foot traffic once it's recessed in, and the single direction, 2 facet layout suits a path or driveway edge where you want light thrown one way, along a border rather than across a walkway.
Collingwood Lighting
Collingwood Lighting designs and manufactures its LED products from Sywell in Northamptonshire, and has specialised in LED technology since 2002. The brand states it was among the first to bring fully sealed, waterproof for life LED products to the UK electrical wholesale market, an approach that shows up directly in a fitting built to sit underground and stay watertight. Collingwood has also been awarded a Gold medal by EcoVadis, placing it in the top 5% of companies assessed globally for sustainability.

Questions People Ask
What does "2 facets, 1 direction" mean?
Both light openings on this GL100 face the same side, so it throws a stronger line of light along one edge of a path or step rather than spreading light in two directions at once.
What's the difference between running it at 1W and 2W?
It's driven at 1W on a 350mA driver or 2W on a 700mA driver. The higher current setting gives a brighter light, at the cost of drawing more power.
Can I walk over this ground light?
Yes. It's IK07 impact resistant and specifically walk over rated, so it's built to take foot traffic once it's recessed into paving, decking or a lawn.
Is a driver included?
No. This is a low voltage fitting, so it needs a separate driver, specified and wired in series based on how many lights are running on the same circuit.
How deep can it be submerged?
It's IP68 rated and submersible to 9 metres, so it's suited to spots that see standing water, such as path edges near ponds, not just occasional rain.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, as long as it's paired with a suitable dimmable driver.
