A Single Point of Light for Paths, Steps and Driveways
The GL100 is Collingwood's smallest domed ground light, a walk over fitting just 40mm across designed to sit flush in paving, decking or a driveway. Rather than throwing a hard spot of light it gives a soft, diffused glow, useful for marking the edge of a step or the line of a path without creating glare underfoot.
Antique Brass, One Facet
This version has a single window cut into the dome, so light spills from one direction only. It suits spots where you want a quiet marker rather than an all round glow, such as against a wall or at the start of a path. The antique brass finish has a warm, aged tone that will continue to weather naturally outdoors.
How It Works
- Runs at 1W on 350mA or 2W on 700mA, so you can choose how bright it needs to be
- Available in 2700K or 3000K, both with a CRI of 80
- Beam angle of 75 degrees, spread across the single window
- Low voltage, Class III, so it needs a separate driver rather than mains power
- Wired in series, meaning several units can run from one driver
Where It Works Best
Because it's rated IP68 and submersible to 9m, the GL100 copes with standing water, driving rain and coastal spray, making it a genuine option for garden paths, patios, steps, driveways and decking near the coast. The IK07 impact rating and walk over construction mean it's built to be trodden on and driven over, not just looked at.
About Collingwood
Collingwood Lighting designs and manufactures its LED products from Sywell in Northamptonshire, and has specialised in LED technology since 2002. The brand says it was among the first to bring fire rated, fully sealed for life and mains dimmable LED products to the UK electrical wholesale market, and a submersible fitting like the GL100 sits squarely in that waterproofing tradition. Collingwood has also been awarded an EcoVadis Gold medal, placing it in the top 5% of companies assessed globally for sustainability.

Questions People Ask
Can I really drive over this light?
Yes. It carries an IK07 impact rating and is built as a genuine walk over fitting, so it's designed to take foot and vehicle traffic in a driveway.
Does it come with a driver?
No. It's a low voltage fitting so needs a separate driver, and because it's wired in series you can run several GL100s from a single driver.
What's the difference between the 1W and 2W settings?
The output depends on the current supplied by the driver, 350mA gives 1W and 700mA gives 2W. The window is small so actual light output stays gentle at either setting.
Will the antique brass finish change over time?
Brass left outdoors will develop a natural patina as it weathers, which is part of the antique brass look rather than a fault.
