Stone Globe Spherical Garden Light - Weathered Stone - Low Voltage

A Low Voltage Stone Effect Globe Light for the Garden

The Stone Globe Spherical Garden Light in Weathered Stone is a low voltage garden globe light with a rough, stone effect surface. It comes in three sizes, 28cm, 38cm and 50cm diameter, and runs at 12V from a Stone Globe approved transformer. It is moulded from polyethylene and rated IP65, so it suits a garden globe light for paths, driveways and borders. The 50cm is a large fitting, so please check these measurements against your space before ordering.

Weathered Stone Finish, 12V Version

The Weathered Stone finish gives the globe a grey, rough textured surface that looks like worn natural stone by day. At night the globe glows from within, giving a soft, warm pool of light. The surface is designed to weather naturally over time, so it settles into a garden rather than looking new. This is the low voltage 12V version. Stone Globe also makes mains, plug and play and solar globes, so check you are choosing the right power type.

How It Works

This globe is a low voltage 12V fitting and needs a Stone Globe approved transformer. The bulb is supplied and is not an integrated LED: the 28cm uses a 2.8W G4, the 38cm a 5W E27 and the 50cm a 7W E27. The globe sits on a 12.5cm circular mounting base bracket, which gives secure attachment, and the cable passes through a 25mm cable gland. Earth connection parts are included. An optional ground spike is available if you want to fix the globe into soil. You can choose the cable length when ordering: no cable, a 0.45m standard cable or a 5m cable. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

Where It Works Best

Stone Globe suggests these fittings for driveway and path lighting, and for creating a warm ambience on alfresco evenings. They also work well along borders, beside steps, on decking and on gate piers or pillars.
