Stone Globe Spherical Garden Light - Portland Stone - Mains

A Mains Garden Globe Light with a Portland Stone Finish

The Stone Globe Spherical Garden Light in Portland Stone is a stone effect outdoor light made from polyethylene, with a rough surface that weathers naturally. It is the mains 230V version and comes in three sizes: 28cm, 38cm and 50cm diameter. The 50cm globe is a large fitting, so please check the sizes against your space before ordering. By day it sits in a border or beside a path like a piece of garden sculpture, and at night it works as a garden globe light for paths, driveways and patios. It is rated IP65 and comes with a mounting bracket.

Portland Stone, Mains 230V

This is the Portland Stone finish, one of six stone effect finishes in the Stone Globe range. The surface is rough and textured like natural stone, which suits planted borders and gravel as well as paved areas. This listing is for the mains 230V version, which is wired to the house supply. The low voltage, plug and play and solar versions are separate products.

How It Works

The globe is wired to a 230V mains supply, so no driver or transformer is needed. The supplied mounting bracket has a 12.5cm circular base with a 25mm cable gland and earth connection parts, and fixes the globe to a hard surface. An optional ground spike is also available. The cable gland and IP65 rating protect against dust and water jets, so it is suitable for outdoor use. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

Where It Works Best

Stone Globe suggests these globes for driveway and path lighting, and for creating a warm ambiance for alfresco evenings. They look good on a patio, at the edge of a lawn, beside steps or among planting, where the stone effect surface blends in during the day.
