Stone Globe Spherical Garden Light - Portland Stone - Low Voltage

A Portland Stone Effect Globe for Paths, Drives and Patios

The Stone Globe spherical garden light in Portland Stone is a low voltage 12V garden globe light with a rough, stone effect surface. It comes in three sizes, 28cm, 38cm and 50cm in diameter, and is rated IP65 for outdoor use. It works well as path lighting, driveway lighting or gate pillar lighting, and it looks like a sculpted stone ball in the garden by day.

Portland Stone Finish, Low Voltage Version

This is the Portland Stone finish, a pale, neutral stone colour with a rough surface that the manufacturer says weathers naturally. The globe is moulded from polyethylene, not carved from stone. This low voltage version runs at 12V and needs a Stone Globe approved transformer. You can choose it with no cable, the standard 0.45m cable or a 5m cable. Stone Globe also makes the same globes in mains, plug and play and solar versions.

How It Works

The globe is supplied with its bulb: a 2.8W G4 in the 28cm size, a 5W E27 in the 38cm size and a 7W E27 in the 50cm size. A 12.5cm circular mounting base bracket with a 25mm cable gland holds the globe in place, and an optional ground spike is available separately. Earth connection parts are included. The light must be connected to a Stone Globe approved transformer. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

Where It Works Best

Stone Globe suggests these globes for driveway and path lighting, and for creating a warm atmosphere on alfresco evenings. They also suit gate pillars, borders and patio edges, where the globe can be seen as a feature by day and a soft glow after dark.
