Stone Globe Spherical Garden Light - Limestone - Low Voltage

A Limestone Effect Garden Globe on Low Voltage

The Stone Globe Spherical Garden Light in Limestone is a stone effect outdoor light, moulded in polyethylene with a rough surface that weathers naturally. It comes in three sizes, 28cm, 38cm and 50cm diameter, and runs on 12V low voltage. It makes a garden globe light for a path, driveway or border by day, and glows softly after dark. Please check the size against your space before ordering, as the 50cm globe is a large fitting.

Limestone Finish, Low Voltage Version

This is the pale limestone finish, a light stone colour with a rough, textured surface that looks like natural stone. It is the 12V version, so it is fed from a low voltage transformer rather than direct from the mains. The same globe is also made in other finishes and power versions, so check that you have chosen Limestone and Low Voltage.

How It Works

The globe is lit by a lamp that is supplied with it: 2.8W G4 in the 28cm size, 5W E27 in the 38cm and 7W E27 in the 50cm. It runs at 12V and requires a Stone Globe approved transformer, which is not part of the globe. You can choose no cable, the standard 0.45m cable or a 5m cable. A mounting bracket with a 12.5cm circular base and a 25mm cable gland fixes the globe securely, and earth connection parts are included. An optional ground spike is available. The globe is rated IP65 for outdoor use. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

Where It Works Best

Stone Globe suggests these globes for driveway and path lighting, and for creating a warm atmosphere on alfresco evenings. They also sit well in borders and gravel beds, as the photos show, and look good grouped in different sizes.
