A Mid Scale Centrepiece With Real Presence

The RD15 6 Arms sits at the midpoint of Schwung's RD15 family, large enough to act as a genuine centrepiece but not so large that it needs a grand room to work in. Six solid brass arms branch out from a central body, each one rising to hold a mouth blown glass globe, giving the whole fitting the loose silhouette of a small tree in full growth.

Transparent Glass, Fully Exposed Filament

Like the rest of the RD15 range, this version is fitted with Schwung's transparent glass, the clearest of the studio's three glass finishes alongside opal matte and marble matte. The glass leaves each bulb and filament on view, so across six arms the fitting reads as a cluster of small, warm light sources held within a visible brass frame, rather than a single diffused glow.

Choose Your Finish

The 6 Arms RD15 is available in three brass finishes: Lacquered Burnished Brass, Black Gunmetal, and Polished Nickel. All three are hand finished in Poland, so expect small, natural variations between individual pieces rather than a perfectly uniform surface.

How It Works

Each of the six arms takes a 1.6W G4 LED bulb, included, warm white at 2700K and dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch. Height adjusts from roughly 100cm to 190cm using the supplied extension tubes, one each of 15cm, 30cm, and 45cm, and a flat cylinder ceiling canopy, and every arm can be angled up to 135 degrees. Fully open, it measures around 140cm across and weighs 11.8kg.

Where It Works Best

The 6 Arms RD15 is sized for a dining table seating six, a sitting room, or a stairwell or landing with enough height to let the arms spread properly. It also suits a kitchen dining area where the room wants a genuine focal point without moving into the scale of the 8 or 12 arm versions.

Made by Schwung

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. Every fitting, including the RD15, is made to order in solid brass and mouth blown glass at the studio's Namyslow workshop. According to Schwung, the RD15 family was designed around a botanical, branching logic, with each glass globe treated like fruit sitting at the end of a branch, a logic that becomes more apparent as the arm count grows.

At around 140cm across, it suits a table seating six comfortably. Measure your table and allow clearance on all sides before ordering.

Can I change how it looks once it is installed?
Yes. Every arm can be angled individually by up to 135 degrees, so the spread and profile can be adjusted after the fitting is hung.
