A Sculptural Cluster of Marble Glass
Twenty one glass globes in two sizes gather around a linear brass frame in a rolling, layered formation. Each globe is blown in marble glass, a milky, softly veined finish that gives the cluster real depth, the pattern inside every globe shifting as the light moves through it. Combined across twenty one globes, the effect builds into something genuinely dramatic overhead.
Marble Glass, Three Frame Finishes
The marble glass is the most layered of Schwung's three signature glass types, its veined internal texture giving each globe more visual weight than a plain diffused finish. The frame comes in Lacquered Burnished Brass, Black Gunmetal or Polished Nickel, so the warmth or coolness of the metal can be matched to the room. Every finish is applied to solid brass, and every globe is mouth blown by hand at Schwung's workshop, so no two chandeliers are ever quite identical.
How It Works
The Glow 21 takes 21 x 5W LED bulbs (E14/E12 base, included), together producing 9,450 to 10,500 lumens at 3000K. It's dimmable, but only with electronic ELV or trailing edge dimmers, standard leading edge dimmers won't work. The fitting is rated IP20, so it belongs in dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms. The chandelier itself is 805mm in diameter, with rods supplied to set the drop anywhere between 1131mm and 1881mm on a fixed ceiling (1081mm to 1981mm on a vaulted one), and weighs 30kg once installed. All fixing rods and bulbs are included in the box.
Where It Works Best
This is a chandelier for a room built to take it, a double height stairwell, a grand dining room, or an entrance hall where the ceiling needs a genuine focal point. Because the drop is adjustable across a wide range, it also suits rooms with higher than average ceilings where a smaller fitting would look lost.
Made by Schwung
Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. According to Schwung, every globe across the collection is mouth blown by hand, which is why the brand states that no two fittings are ever perfectly identical. The Glow 21 is one of the larger expressions of that approach, translating a simple material, glass and brass, into a genuinely large scale piece.

- Brass care: clean regularly with a soft cloth or duster, a damp cloth can also be used, dry the frame fully before switching back on, do not use cleaning agents on brass parts

Can I use a standard dimmer switch with the Glow 21?
No, it needs an electronic ELV or trailing edge dimmer. A standard leading edge dimmer will not work properly with the included LED bulbs.
How low can the Glow 21 hang?
The rods included allow a drop between 1131mm and 1881mm on a standard ceiling, or 1081mm to 1981mm on a vaulted one, so it can be set to suit most ceiling heights.
