A Softly Glowing Pair for the Wall
The Schwung Globe Dual Wall Sconce brings two brass mounted glass globes together on a single wall fitting, each one throwing a warm, even glow rather than a hard beam of light. It's a quiet, confident piece, built for anyone who wants their wall lighting to do its job without becoming the focal point of the room.
In Opal Mat Glass
Opal mat glass is the most even tempered of Schwung's three glass options. It fully diffuses the light source inside, so instead of a visible bulb or hotspot you get a soft, glareless glow that spreads gently across both globes. Of the three finishes in this range, opal mat is the one that suits the widest range of rooms and styles, from a minimal bedroom to a busy family hallway.
Choose Your Finish
The brass frame is available in three finishes: lacquered burnished brass for a warm, traditional glow, black gunmetal for a darker, more contemporary look, and polished nickel for a cooler, more reflective tone. All three pair with the same opal mat glass globes.
How It Works
Each fitting takes two E14 LED bulbs, 5W each, 10W in total, and is compatible with dimmable bulbs if you want that flexibility. The sconce measures approximately 92cm in height and projects around 33cm from the wall, with an overall width of about 15cm, and each glass globe measures roughly 15cm in diameter. It weighs approximately 2.6kg, and the two bulbs are included.
Where It Works Best
Mount a single Globe Dual as a standalone light in a hallway, landing, or above a console table, or hang a pair either side of a mirror, bed, or fireplace for a symmetrical look. Because the glow is soft and diffused rather than directional, it works well at eye level or slightly above, where the light itself becomes part of the room's atmosphere rather than a task light.
Made by Schwung
Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. Every fitting, including the Globe Dual, is made to order in solid brass and mouth blown glass at the brand's own workshop. According to Schwung, mouth blowing each globe by hand means no two are ever perfectly identical, part of the appeal of a handmade fitting over a mass produced one.
Good to Know
- Made to order in Poland, estimated lead time 4 to 6 weeks

- Approximate dimensions: 92cm high x 33cm deep from the wall x 15cm wide, each globe approximately 15cm in diameter
- Weight approximately 2.6kg
- Takes 2 x E14 LED bulbs, 5W each, 10W in total, bulbs included, compatible with dimmable bulbs

- Moonlight Design recommends installation by a registered NICEIC electrician
Questions People Ask
Can I buy the Globe Dual as a single wall light or do I need a pair?
It's sold as a single fitting, so you can mount just one, though many customers buy two to flank a mirror, bed, or doorway symmetrically.
Is the opal mat glass see through?
No, opal mat glass is designed to fully diffuse the light, so you'll see a soft, even glow rather than the bulb itself.
