The Schwung Globe Dual Wall Sconce holds two glass globes on a single brass wall fitting. In marble glass, the light that comes through has more depth to it than a plain diffuser, with a softly veined, milky pattern that shifts as the bulb warms up.

In Marble Glass

Marble glass is mouth blown with fine internal veining that gives each globe a milky, marbled surface. Rather than one flat wash of light, the veining breaks the glow into subtle layers, so the globes read as an object in their own right even when unlit. It sits between the plain, glareless opal mat glass and the more heavily textured Dries Ribbon glass in this range.

Choose Your Finish

Choose from lacquered burnished brass, black gunmetal, or polished nickel for the frame. Each finish changes the character of the fitting, brass leaning warm and classic, gunmetal darker and more understated, nickel brighter and cooler, while the marble glass globes stay the same across all three.

How It Works

Each fitting takes two E14 LED bulbs, 5W each, 10W in total, and is compatible with dimmable bulbs. It measures approximately 92cm in height and projects around 33cm from the wall, with an overall width of about 15cm, and each globe measures roughly 15cm in diameter. It weighs approximately 2.6kg, and the two bulbs are included.

Where It Works Best

Marble glass suits rooms where the fitting is meant to be looked at as well as lived with, bedrooms, dressing rooms, and formal living spaces in particular. Mount in pairs either side of a bed or mirror for symmetry, or use singly in a hallway or on a landing where the depth of the glass catches the eye at close range.

Made by Schwung

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. Every fitting is made to order in solid brass and mouth blown glass at the brand's Namyslow workshop. According to Schwung, the marbling in each globe is a natural result of the mouth blowing process, so the pattern varies slightly from one globe to the next.

Does the marble pattern look the same on every globe?
No, because each globe is mouth blown, the veining pattern varies slightly from piece to piece, part of the appeal of a handmade fitting.

Can I mix marble glass with opal mat or Dries Ribbon in the same room?
You can, though Schwung's marble glass is designed to sit particularly well alongside other marble glass pieces if you want a consistent look across a scheme.
