Ten glass globes radiate outward from a central brass spine in the Armstrong 10 Light, turning what could be a simple multi-bulb fitting into something closer to sculpture. In Opal Mat glass, the emphasis shifts from texture to atmosphere; this is the calmest, most even-lit version of the design, built for rooms where you want generous light without any visual noise.

Opal Mat glass fully diffuses the bulb inside each globe, so there is no visible filament or hotspot, just a soft, consistent glow across all ten spheres. It is the most versatile of Schwung's three glass options for the Armstrong 10, sitting comfortably in almost any interior without competing with other materials or colours in the room.

Choose the brass structure in Lacquered Burnished Brass for warmth, Black Gunmetal for contrast against the pale glass, or Polished Nickel for a cooler, more contemporary line through the ten globes.

How It Works

Ten E14 LED bulbs are included, 5W each, and the fitting takes dimmable LED bulbs if you want to run it from a dimmer switch. It weighs approximately 9.3kg. Mount it flush against a ceiling for a wide, low profile statement, or turn it 90 degrees onto a wall where it reads as a long, sculptural sconce. Every Armstrong 10 is made to order in Poland.

Where It Works Best

Because Opal Mat glass gives such an even, glareless light, this version works hard in spaces where people spend real time underneath it, a kitchen island, a dining table, a wide landing or hallway ceiling. It is also the safest choice if you are nervous about a bolder glass reading too busy in a smaller or more neutral room.

Made by Schwung

Founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen, Schwung builds every fitting from solid brass and mouth blown glass in its own workshop. The Armstrong collection is where the studio's structural thinking is most visible, with the brass frame doing as much visual work as the glass it holds.
