Alta Mini: Compact Light, Controlled Glare

Alta Mini brings the same architectural quality as the standard Alta into a smaller footprint, with a built in shield that keeps the light source out of view. It is built for stairs and niches where sightlines sit close to the fitting and a stray glimpse of the LED would spoil the effect.

Choosing Your Configuration

Two beam options are offered, a narrow 22 degree spot for a precise, concentrated wash or a 33 degree option for a slightly wider spread across a stair riser or wall niche. Colour temperature runs to 2700K for a classic warm tone or 3000K for a marginally crisper warm white. As with the rest of the Alta family, choose IP54 for dry indoor locations or IP67 where the fitting will be exposed to rain or standing water outdoors. The bezel comes in stainless steel, which resists corrosion in exposed settings, or powder coated white (RAL 9010) for a more discreet, wall matching finish, with a black baffle fitted as standard to shield the source from view.

How It Works

The anti glare shield recesses the LED source further inside the housing, using a black baffle to cut sightlines to the lamp itself rather than relying on distance or angle alone. On the IP67 specification, a breather gland manages internal pressure to prevent condensation, backed by triple o-ring seals at the lens, body and cable entry. IP67 rated units are dust tight and can withstand temporary submersion, while IP54 units are protected against dust and splashing water, suiting covered or indoor positions. The Origin Natural engine and its aluminium housing manage heat away from the LED to preserve colour output over time.

Alta Mini earns its place in the family through discretion rather than raw output. Where the standard Alta is chosen for general purpose work, Mini suits tighter stair strings, shallow niches and close viewing positions where a visible LED source would be distracting, such as a narrow hallway stair or a recessed display shelf. Its narrower 22 and 33 degree beams also make it a natural choice for grazing detail across textured surfaces like brick or stone in a more contained way than the wider beams offered elsewhere in the range.
