Orluna M-120 Mains Dimmable Driver
The Orluna M-120 is a 120mA constant current driver built for mains dimming, giving specifiers a compact way to control light output on a compatible Orluna fitting from a standard wall dimmer.
Matching This Driver To Your Fitting
Before specifying, confirm that the Orluna fitting's LED engine is rated to run on a 120mA constant current supply, since driver and fitting current must match for correct, stable operation. For dimming, this driver works with standard leading and trailing edge dimmer switches, so check the dimmer's minimum and maximum load against the fitting's wattage to avoid flicker or premature switching off at low dim levels. If in doubt, ask your Orluna supplier or electrician to confirm the pairing before installation.
How It Works
The M-120 takes a mains input and steps it down to a regulated 120mA constant current output, rated at up to 7.2W. Dimming is handled on the mains side using a compatible leading or trailing edge dimmer switch, so the fitting dims exactly as a mains dimmable circuit would.
Where It Works Best
At 120mA, the M-120 sits at the lower current end of Orluna's mains dimmable range, suited to smaller, lower output fittings rather than the higher current 700mA M-700. As with any driver, keep it in an accessible location such as a ceiling void so it can be reached for maintenance or replacement.
Made By Orluna
Andrew Kilborn took control of Orluna in 2009 and repositioned the company toward the high end architectural lighting market, a shift that began with the Quad 50 downlight and went on to build Orluna's reputation among international lighting designers. Every product since, including the control gear behind ranges like Cero and Curve, has been developed with that same focus on getting the engineering right rather than simply meeting a spec sheet.

Questions People Ask
Can the M-120 be used with any dimmer switch? It is designed to work with standard leading and trailing edge dimmer switches, though it is worth checking the specific dimmer's compatibility list and load range before installation.
What happens if I use it with a fitting rated for a different current? The fitting's LED engine needs to be rated for 120mA to operate correctly, so always match the driver current to the fitting rather than mixing current ratings.
Is the M-120 the same as the M-300-2? No, the M-300-2 supplies a higher 300mA current at 9W, so the two are not interchangeable between fittings rated for different currents.
