A Tiny Stainless Steel Spike Light With a 360º Band of Light
The LuxR Micro Spike Diamond 360º is a miniature low voltage uplight on a spike that pushes into the soil. Its light travels in a full 360º band, angled upwards, so planting is lit all the way round. The brand states it is ideal for shrubbery, planters and larger pots.
Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel
This version is precision machined in marine grade 316 stainless steel. It has a crisp, bright finish and is made to cope with wet weather and damp soil. The light source is a replaceable 1 watt Cree LED with a CRI of 90 plus.
Choose Your Spike and Colour
- Spike length: 150mm suits pots and low borders, while 300mm raises the head in deeper planting.
- Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
How It Works
Push the spike into the soil and angle the head to suit the planting. It runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The LED can be replaced, or swapped for a colour LED.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
Choose it for planters and island beds where light is wanted on every side. If you only need one side lit, the 180º version is the closer match.

Questions People Ask
How is the 360º version different from the 180º?
The 360º version lights a full circle around the head. The 180º version lights one side only.
Which spike length do I need?
Choose 150mm for pots and low planting, or 300mm for deeper beds. The spikes measure 160mm and 310mm overall.
Does it come with a driver?
No. It is a low voltage fitting and needs a suitable constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.
Should I choose stainless steel or copper?
Stainless steel keeps its bright finish, while copper slowly darkens with a natural patina. Choose whichever suits your planting and pots.
